SINOPSIS:
Malik es un trabajador de la construcción que tiene 35 años. Cierto día conoce al amor de su vida, pero a él le diagnostican un cancer. En ese momento deberá elegir si quiere quedarse con Nivi en Groenlandia, la mujer a la que ama, o irse a una clínica danesa en la que tiene posibilidades de someterse a un tratamiento para su enfermedad. Primera película realizada en Groenlandia.

CRÍTICA:
Desde Groelandia, la isla más grande del mundo, con 2.2 millones de kilómetros cuadrados y 57.000 habitantes, nos llega la primera película realizada allí. Está dirigida por Torben Bech y Otto Rosing con guión propio de Otto Rosing. En su lanzamiento, tuvo el reconocimiento de la crítica en el Festival de Cine de Sundance 2010 y después pasó por diversos festivales europeos. Fue candidata a los premios Óscar en la categoría de mejor película de habla no inglesa ( No llegó a estar entre las 5 últimas ).
El rodaje de la película acabó a finales de 2009 y fue vista por unos 4.500 espectadores en el país y hay que decir que los miembros de la producción terminaron en los tribunales por diversos problemas.
La historia, que por cierto fue rodada en menos de un mes, sigue a un trabajador de la construcción que tiene una vida más que apacible junto con un primo suyo y un amigo, trabajan juntos, salen a cazar y van de fiesta en fiesta cada noche. El problema surge cuando el actor protagonista se enamora de una chica del pueblo, a la vez que le descubren un cáncer terminal.
A partir de ese momento tendrá que decidir si quiere ir a una clínica danesa para alargar todo lo posible su vida o por el contrario prefiere quedarse en casa junto con la mujer que ama esperando su fatal desenlace.
Aunque se trate de una producción muy pequeña, los directores han conseguido, con un guión bien elaborado, contar una historia agradable y dura. La puesta en escena y los maravillosos parajes naturales que ofrece la isla son un aspecto más a destacar en la cinta.
El grupo de actores, la mayoría daneses, están más o menos correctos y destaca la actuación de la pareja protagonista.
Es una gozada poder descubrir todo tipo de cine y me alegro de haber disfrutado la primera película realizada en Groelandia.
